Housing Construction Program For Disaster-Affected Estate Families
The foundation stone laying ceremony for the housing construction program for 16 disaster-affected estate families in the Elagala section of Opalgala Estate in the Sirangahawatta Grama Niladhari Division took place on 27th of October 2025.
The foundation stone laying ceremony for this housing project, which is being carried out under the Ministry of Rural Development, Social Security and Community Empowerment, was held under the patronage of the Matale District Member of Parliament, Chairman of the Ambangangakorale Divisional Coordination Committee, Hon. Dinesh Hemantha, and the Matale District Secretary, Mr. Prasanna Madanayake. The Deputy Director of the Matale District and the Divisional Secretary of Ambangangakorale, along with government officials and residents of the area, participated in this event.
